WAITROSE reported 100,000 fewer plastic bags used in two weeks since joining hands with us on the Rethink Plastic initiative. During the two-week period, Waitrose also sold more than 5,700 reusable bags— compared to just 60 in the same period last year.
CHOITHRAMS, in February 2020, joined hands with Emirates Nature-WWF to launch Rethink Plastic initiative with the vision to reduce plastic bag consumption in their stores. In 365 days, more than 2,984,415 plastic bags were saved.
H&M, by renewing their partnership with Emirates Nature-WWF on the Rethink Plastic initiative, is aligning their customers with their vision of becoming 100% circular and climate positive by 2040. They’ve also introduced new shopping bags made from 100% recycled paper.
ZOOM, is working towards raising awareness on banning the usage of single-use plastic bags in alignment with the UAE's vision of promoting an inclusive green economy. They believe it is important to be in the forefront of supporting the vision of the nation to become a sustainable destination.
